March 20: Work on logo ideas. Start composing in the computer in Illustrator. Meet with "your team" an hour into class to gain feedback on your idea/craft. Continue to work/revise after. March 22: Continue working on your idea. Try at least one variation on your idea (maybe use SCAMPER method). Keep in mind, you will be applying this logo to merchandise (see below). Sports Logo DesignMar. 12: Read this article 10 Most Talked About Sports Logo Designs found in How Magazine 2013. Write down 3 ideas for logo success, including target audience, and be ready to discuss. Review your client & start working on the empathise stage. Be ready to discuss with your team (those working on the same client) 30 min before the end of class. Then define your problem from a human-centered perspective . Next, find 10 competitor logos. Once complete, get a check off before continuing on.
Goal & Descriptions: Goal is to drive customers to watch the game in the ballpark, on TV and to purchase related gear.
Mar. 14: You should be done with empathise and in the process of defining your design problem. Get your 10 competitor logos checked off by end of class. Start Ideation: For more information or inspiration visit Todd Radom a working designer who specializes in sports graphics. Working in groups, take a sheet of paper and brainstorm ideas (colors, mascots, imagery, fonts, etc.) Then work individually potentially trying the SCAMPER method outlined in your packet. Mar. 16: Work on your thumbnail sheet and start ideating in the computer / Illustrator. Remember the tutorial and that your logo needs to work in b/w and color.
