8.30 Let's Start Drawing with Illustrator. Let's start by creating a flower using the Shape tool and the transform tool. Then we will move onto using the Shape Builder and Pathfinder tools.
Finish Your Elements of Art and post to your BLOG. (Export as a .jpg from Illustrator) Assignment: Create an animal, either real or fictional in illustrator using the tools you have learned about. This can be very basic or very detailed depending upon your current skill level with the program . You may even think back to the pig you drew in one of our earlier classes. You should use an 8.5 x 11 artboard. Always save your file as a .ai. Next export your image to a .jpg and post it to your blog. Title your blog post "Beginning to create with Illustrator." Next, answer the following questions:

Learn how to open a new document, set parameters for a print document, discuss difference between CMYK and RGB. Learn the tools: Pen, Pencil, Type, Shape, Pathfinder. Create a letter sized document with the definition of each element of art and an example all created in illustrator. Save your Illustrator file (.ai) to the correct place, then Export your file as a .jpg. Due at end of class posted to your blog.
